Welcome to
Applications - Aircraft Hangars
Equipment
Selection: High BTU tube heaters and/or high
BTU, high intensity infra-red models are preferred for
high-mount locations like hangars. Two-stage infra-red
heaters are highly recommended. They recover heat lost
through large doors, yet they cycle less frequently
during normal operation.
Installation: Most of the heat should be concentrated near the main door by locating burner boxes or additional heaters at this point. It is important to note that ANSI/NFPA 409 calls for the heater to be installed at least 10 feet above the highest wing surface of any aircraft stored inside. |
